This article is a good reminder to not love this world. That’s usually easy for me because I long for “the good old days”, a slower and more simplistic time. Letting go of worldly desires and ambitions isn’t difficult, but the nostalgia of what was, is an area I need to hand over to God.

Even the past, that I see through rose colored glasses lately, is covered in a stain of sin and evil that if I look closely enough I can see, this place has never been my home.

Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭16 “But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.”

Nostalgia won’t hold a candle to what is ahead of us, thanks for the reminder Pete. God bless and happy 4th!🎉🇺🇸

Your final words reminded me of the lyrics from "Not of This World" by Petra. Great song BTW

"We are pilgrims in a strange land

We are so far from our homeland

With each passing day it seems so clear

This world will never want us here..."
